Strolling through Grants Pass, Oregon, I stumbled into First Friday, an evening arts and music festival. Lots of happy people hanging out downtown, showing their stuff. It seemed the perfect opportunity to test the Nikon D90 HD video capability. I learned that the camera performed well in a variety of lighting situations - yet was bothered by the lack of auto-focus in video mode. It's a bit hard to keep frame and focus using the small video screen on the camera back. The on-board microphone provides good directional audio with decent drop-off out of the field of view.
